It also has anti-inflammatory and antioxidants proprieties, thanks to the turmeric, that make this\u00a0the perfect way to boost your immune system during\u00a0flu season.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-216 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/thegoldenhour.idra.it\/fm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/fullsizeoutput_15e8.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1536\" height=\"2001\" srcset=\"https:\/\/thegoldenhour.idra.it\/fm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/fullsizeoutput_15e8.jpeg 1536w, https:\/\/thegoldenhour.idra.it\/fm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/fullsizeoutput_15e8-230x300.jpeg 230w, https:\/\/thegoldenhour.idra.it\/fm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/fullsizeoutput_15e8-768x1001.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/thegoldenhour.idra.it\/fm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/fullsizeoutput_15e8-786x1024.jpeg 786w, https:\/\/thegoldenhour.idra.it\/fm\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/12\/fullsizeoutput_15e8-740x964.jpeg 740w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1536px) 100vw, 1536px\" \/><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<br \/>\n<\/strong>\u2022 4 medium carrots<br \/>\n\u2022 160g cooked chickpeas (if you&#8217;re using canned chickpeas remember to drain and wash them well)<br \/>\n\u2022 1 white onion<br \/>\n\u2022 2 cloves garlic<br \/>\n\u2022 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil<br \/>\n\u2022 \u00bd tbsp turmeric powder<br \/>\n\u2022 1\u00a0\u00bd tsp curry powder<br \/>\n\u2022 1 tsp smoked paprika<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00bd tsp black pepper<br \/>\n\u2022 3 leaves dry sage<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00bd tsp dried rosemary<br \/>\n\u2022 1 tsp grated fresh ginger<br \/>\n\u20221 small red chili pepper finely chopped<br \/>\n\u2022 2 handfuls fresh spinach<br \/>\n\u2022 1 tsp salt<br \/>\n\u2022 1 cup boiling water<br \/>\n\u2022 a small handful parsley<br \/>\nToppings: \u20221 tbsp tahini\u00a0\u2022 1 tbsp sunflower seeds<\/p>\n<p><strong>Preparation:<br \/>\n<\/strong>Start by preheating the oven at 180C. Place the chickpeas in a baking tray lined with parchment paper and add 1 crushed clove of garlic, half of the spices, the rosemary and \u00bd tablespoon of oil. Roast for about 10\/15 minutes or until crispy.\u00a0Saut\u00e9 the sliced onion in the rest of the oil with the garlic, the spices and the sage in a medium pot.Then add the chopped carrots and let it cook at a low heat. When they&#8217;re soft add the water, the salt and put the lid on. Cook for 20 minutes, then take off \u00be \u00a0of the soup and blend the rest. Add the remaining soup, the roasted chickpeas and the spinach.
